With nearly 22,000 alumni around the world, the Susquehanna community is never out of reach.
The lessons learned and connections made on Susquehanna’s beautiful, broad campus last well beyond a student’s four years; they last a lifetime. Susquehannans go on to do great things, and the dedication they have for their alma mater runs deep. 作为志愿者, advocates and donors, alumni ensure that future generations of students have access to the life-changing experiences that a Susquehanna education offers.

Layren McDannold ’23 has been awarded the Anne Wexler Scholarship in Public Policy from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
The award will allow McDannold to go to Australia to pursue her master’s degree in public policy while also conducting research into the generational impacts of the climate crisis and how political apathy and distrust affects climate legislation. McDannold’s interest in political apathy was inspired by similar research she conducted at Susquehanna, under the guidance of Shari Jacobson.
艾米丽Hizny ’24 will embark on a nearly 5,000-mile journey to North Macedonia for a two-year commitment to the Peace Corps.
Hizny said her desire to participate in the Peace Corps began with her Global Opportunities program, 去Tirolo, which was set in an Alpine region in northern Italy and southern Austria. She spent two weeks abroad exploring the region’s multicultural facets, engaging in agricultural and culinary activities, learning about sustainability and border concepts and interacting with local communities.
Susquehanna dedicated the Erynn E. Reiss LGBTQ+ Resource Center in memory of Erynn and in recognition of the philanthropy of her parents, Jay ’72 and Andrea ’72 Endrusick.
The Endrusicks’ philanthropy will support student programming, guest speakers and the center’s capital improvement expenditures. 另外, the Reiss Resource Center provides specialty housing for LGBTQ+ students, and their gift will eliminate financial barriers for students seeking those accommodations.
